@JohnYoungE @freepatriot @ShowMeYourLibrary C'mon, John.. Surely you've heard of these 'statutory rape' cases as old as crime that are victimless crimes as prosecuted, that is until conviction of the alleged perpetrator who was the real victim in the first place, that being of a fraud perpetrated by the so-called victim. Then that dude, typically, becomes the far more likely of the two involved to actually experience a real rape. But, y'know, Justice is blind. Very blind. I am also most blind now from being forced to look at Ladies of 'Justice,' heck I could've been called Justice Homer, though I'm still not as blind as the guys who actually think any of those chicks are hot.

@freepatriot Replace this image with an ICE raid and it's perfectly accurate.

Wow.

The very same Americans who say that the US should invade Syria then turn around and scream that Russia should not invade Ukraine.

Americans say 20 million people were killed in the Soviet Union because tyranny keeps you safe.

Americans say tyranny is wonderful because Canada is also a police state.

Wow.

@ShowMeYourLibrary @freepatriot It would be interesting to speculate on what a victimless crime might be.

Is a married man paying $500 for consensual sex with an escort a victimless crime?

Is buying cocaine from a cartel that routinely hangs people from bridges to enforce its monopoly on running a Mexican town a victimless crime?

Is having buttsex where the recipient picks up diseases that he then spreads to others a victimless crime?

Now, I am sure there are a few truly victimless crimes out there. For example, some towns make it against the law to grow anything edible on your property.

But I think when most people think of "victimless crimes" they are generally talking about sexual and drug behaviors.

But these things have effects far beyond the individual(s) directly engaging in them.

A few years ago there was a local news anchor -- married with kids -- who rented a male prostitute and shoved methamphetamine rocks up his ass while getting pounded ... and he died from the overdose. Was he the only victim?

Many of the drugs available out there are far from harmless, and highly addictive. Even if completely legal and pure, there would still be gobs of overdose deaths -- deaths of people's sisters, brothers, sons, daughters -- and it is absolutely heart-wrenching.

Although I will admit some truly victimless crimes undoubtedly exist, the things most people think of as "victimless" often have victims in the long run who never had a choice in the matter.

Americans who hate hats want hats to be banned for everyone.

Wow.

Americans say people should be jailed for victimless crimes.
