I remember the world before the internet, before CDs, before cassette tapes took the place of vinyl records... it WAS a great place.
I remember a world with only three TV channels that all stopped broadcasting at midnight. Oh, and no remote controls.
I barely do. I'm 36. By the 8th grade most of my friends had cell phones. As a littler kid though, it was all about knocking on your friends door and seeing if they could come out to play- and that was the most special. In the 5th grade my "boyfriend" would call the house phone to talk to me on the phone after school. I did spend a lot of time watching TV as a kid- always on while I did homework. I think that cell phones replaced TV for a lot of us... and then of course there was AOL instant messenger...

I can only imagine how it might be been to grow up with less technology to distract

@freepatriot Check out an Orthodox church if you have one nearby. Hopefully you will feel what I felt going to one.

I'm thinking about going back to church for the first time in 20 years.

Bruh the fact that you supressed this means you where never able to move beyond it.

Maybe crime is at an all time high because everything is illegal.
