The problem with learning things from podcasts and videos is they're not indexed. Linder did an audiobook of a very insightful book on the feminization of American Christianity and because it's in podcast form I can't search it.

Not installing a Moltbot to index it for me, don't trust em.
Church is an emasculation machine, of course men hate it. It's also a social event, so of course women kind of like it.

@judgedread @VikingWays This is the conventional, exoteric understanding of church. It has very little to do with "religion" and a direct and deep relationship with god.

It simply is a control structure on which to build fairly internally stable societies, and a way for beta-males to secure leadership positions by exploiting the gullibility of the masses.

Real religion is for ever deeply presonal, subjective, and impossible to directly communicate to others.

Pretty much. None of the strange stuff I've seen has any socially redeeming value. Other than maybe making me think I might not evaporate when my body shuts down. Also that the universe as we see it is FOR something... but I don't know what.
