Say what you like about James Randi - it's true the online "skeptic" movement he spearheaded became its own toxic cult - but when he told us scientists are uniquely prone to being gulled by trickery and illusion, he had a point.

Were Randi alive today, he'd likely have a lot to say about Richard Dawkins succumbing to "AI" psychosis, while not even bothering investigate how these modern-day, digital automatons actually work.

It's long past time Dawkins got a hobby and retired from public view.
