It's 95 degrees F in the UK. It seems that this is nearly as bad as german rockets pounding london.

They are warning people not to go in the water to cool off as it's dangerous (11 people have suffered "water related" deaths. perhaps they are drowing themselves to escape such heat (which is pretty commonplace here and in much of the world) and drowning in water beats drowning in sweat.

Are most Brits too poor to buy a portable air conditioner and keep one room cool?

@Phil Very strange. Southern europe has managed to survive for thousands of years with these temperatures.

Somehow, humans apparently have been genetically modified, so that temperatures above 21 C become lethal.

Buy an AC, go outside, buy a fan, drink water, stay in the shade. It really isn't rocket science. If the spanish survived so will the british.

@h4890 every year far more people die from cold weather than from heat. These deaths get very little attention. The people that die from heat are usually elderly. These deaths get lots of attention because they support the climate change hysteria better.

@Phil This is the truth! The 10x cold related deaths must never be mentioned!
