😳 Peaceful demonstration by Polish activists in Berlin ends in police violence

Social media videos show German police using brutal tactics against Polish demonstrators in Berlin on Tuesday. Officers beat participants from the "Ruch Obrony Granic" (Movement for the Defense of Borders) initiative, who had intended to erect a large cross at the "Place of Remembrance and Encounter with Poland"—a site commemorating the victims of the German occupation from 1939 to 1945.

Several activists were handcuffed and taken away during the operation; shouts of "Gestapo!" could be heard amidst the commotion. The police justified their actions by stating that the gathering had not been registered. That evening, activists and politicians protested against the incident outside the German Embassy in Warsaw.

@Incal Strange. They should go back to Poland. With germanys socialism, and poland marketoriented politics, I'm convinced that within 10 years or so, salaries will be higher in poland than in germany.
