There are two stellar accounts that hurt a lot when they departed Mastodon for Bluesky, @Popehat and @emptywheel.
Both left here in 2023 due to frustration with what we now call HOA behavior, and in particular people demanding CWs for politics related posts.
Now, apparently Popehat has been banned on Bluesky. Don't know the details, but even if the ban is lifted, the key take away is that the ban hammer is being used on #Bluesky to censor users free expression.

Admittedly Mastodon has an HOA problem. It has gotten better, but posters here are still sometimes pestered by people telling them how to use social media.
However, would argue that this sort of overly enthusiastic user behavior, is much less problematic than a centralized corporate authority censoring its users.
This account is not bridged to Bluesky, and will never be, but would like to extend an invitation to both these exceptional people to give us another try.

Bluesky is a home for woke people. No one should be surprised that you get banned there if you're not woke.
As for HOA on mastodon, just move to another instance, and block any homos and the problem is solved.
I always tell people who are curious about mastodon to start with a server on the fediblock list. Those instances usually have a high tolerance for free speech and freedom.
