As a former TAFE *teacher* I understand the pressure from the system.
I found that to get students to engage we had to start with where and how. And while there wasn't any fairy bread, they all stepped out of the machine appreceating how to join the dots.

@Arapalla @kibcol1049 As a teacher, what I do is to try and identify the ones who are motivated, smart, and actually care about what they are studying. Those I help, the other I try to get to leave the program to find better things to do with their lives.
That way, they can discover their true passion, and not be a burden for me and the students who really care.
