@Sozhami @HeatherTX it's a lot to most people, it's probably not legal though. I don't know any civilised country that allows people to pay people to vote for them.

Usually it is used a bit more smoothly in the form of promised tax cuts, subsidies, deducations, etc. by the politicians. Politicians handing out money to the people if they win, is very, very common.
