@Oxoco Excellent! Corrupt politicians must be humiliated in public and jailed, to stop the decease of corruption from spreading. Hungary next!

@Oxoco No, Trump and the EU decide. If they want, they can exterminate Iran. The iranians know that, so will set their tolls at a very low level so that it will be cheaper to pay, than to eradicate.

@CarmineJohnston A, the fetish of the west. Making feeling and opinions illegal.

But any first year psychologist knows, that repressing strong feelings, keeping them inside, eventually leads to a big outburst or breakdown.

As more and more expressions of feelings will be banned in the west, more and more people will exploide or break down.

I predict we'll see continued schools shootings, and a continued increase in mental health problems.

@naveqgac As discussed elsewhere on the fediverse, if Iran take care to keep the tolls low enough so that it is cheaper to pay them, than for europe to send warships to the region, Iran will have found a new source of revenue.

Should they become greedy and set the price too high, the west and possibly Trump, will continue bombing them into the stone age. Possibly a deal will be struck with Oman, to defend any ships passing through.

@thefinn This is the way! Know that the only way to consume the Biden of the chicken, the chicken breast, is in stew or soup.

You cannot consume it in any other way since it is bland and boring.

Been having troubles making complex food.

So I started buying whole cooked chicken, and throwing a few handfuls of that into some raymen noodles, with a few things.

Pretty gud.

@Bernard You are a wise man. Corona was the straw that broke the camels back. Since then, I no longer vote, and this class system, where we have a political nobility above the law, and the rest, only strengthens my resolve to not vote.

I cannot understand that so many people still believe in the "theater" of democracy in the west. What we have clearly bears no semblance to democracy. It is just a new nobility that has established itself.

@troed What then happens is that the top 20% do the manual labour, the rest cheat, and have difficulties finding jobs.

@troed This is the truth! I am trying to teach my students that they have to invest the time and manual labour in programming to build up their intuition of what works and what doesn't. With that intuition and experience, they will be able to use LLM:s profitably.

But skipping the basics, and going straight to vibe coding has the potential of doing more harm than good to the company they will be working for.

@elston_ No one is surprised. It is also important to keep in mind that "loan" is juts lipstick on the pig. This money will never be repaid.

🇺🇦 EU WILL FACE NEW UKRAINE LOAN IN 2027 — WSJ

The Wall Street Journal reports that the EU will likely need to approve a new loan for Ukraine in 2027.

The originally planned €90 billion EU package was expected to cover two years, but the financing gap has widened.

➡Kiev is now said to need an additional €19 billion to cover its budget needs.

@root42
You can also try to disable the autosuspend for the Thunderbolt controller by adding a kernel module option. Create a new file /etc/modprobe.d/thunderbolt.conf with the following content:

options thunderbolt autosuspend=0

After making these changes, make sure to update your GRUB configuration by running sudo update-grub (or sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg on some systems).

@root42 This is what the AI suggests:

Try adding intel_pch_watchdog=0 to your GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT. This can sometimes help with issues related to Intel's PCH (Platform Controller Hub) watchdog timer.

Another option is to add usbcore.autosuspend=-1 to prevent USB devices from autosuspending, which might be interfering with your Thunderbolt SSD.
