If, due to competent economic policies, the economy and salaries expands, the politicians get increased salaries, if the economy contracts, they get lowered salaries. When the people suffer, they suffer, and when the people prosper, they prosper. Sounds very democratic to my ears.

But shouldn't we strive for politicians who are not ruled by envy? What they feel like, when compared with the captains of industry, and old wealthy family, should certainly not, in my opinion be used to set their salaries.

After all, in my business, if an employee would say they want a higher salary because they will envious of another, I'd laugh them out of the room.

@alex_p_roe @ChrisMayLA6 Then the term limit of 1 term, for life, must be imposed. We cannot have people make careers out of being politicians, this harms democracy.

Oh, and the salaries have to come down. It should not be possible to become rich by being a politician, and if salaries are lowered and important class of people, who are only doing it for the money, will hopefully be blocked.

Some steps that could be taken to improve democracy is to only allow votes to people who pay into the system. If you don't pay tax, you cannot vote, and you cannot become a politician.

When it comes to politicians, there can be IQ requirements, requirements for an academic degree, they must pass language tests, they must have worked in the private sector for at least 20 years, we want no life time public leeches.

Russia is now fearing an explosion of violence, new maffia gangs, shootings, etc. at home when these people return home from the wat with their traumas.

If they organize, it could get very, very tricky for Putin to contain them.

My bet is that Putin will give away Donbass to the general in charge on the condition that the general will keep the barbarians within that new "democratic peoples republic" in the hope that they will not march on moscow.

I had a very interesting conversation about russia and ukraine today, and one future threat to russia was brought up, that I have not heard anything about in any mainstream media.

What russia now is starting to fear is the return of 100s of thousands of soldiers, who have not become barbarians, without any barriers to killing. They are well armed, and they are used to salaries that are 5-10x what they usually get at home.

They have traumas, are violent, and have no marketable skills.

It seems to me that no surer sign can be asked for that his libertarian policies are _actually working_.

@SirHendrick I think it is good that the people are protesting their authoritarian government. No one should be forced to have moslems close by. That is very dangerous and leads to increase of theft, rape and violence.

Moslems have all of arabia, and there is no need to have them in europe. European and moslem values are fundamentally incomptaible, so they must go home.
