@DamienWise I think the problem is that most open source projects have become socialist and woke, so the maintainers and founders who have remained unaffected and rational, by comparison, seem extreme. In reality, it is most of the other open source people who gave gone completely mad.

@kibcol1049 This is good! But it is sad, that one of the most poewrful countries in the world, is no longer able to wage war effectively. What they should have done is to invade and take over the country, and then install a pro-western leader.

This would have been much quicker than the current farce, but also, very expensive. But Trump started it, so now he is the one who has to fix it. And no, I will not pay for his ineptitute in this situation, so he and the US tax payer is on his own here.

@kibcol1049 Sounds to me like the "analysis" is based on models as usual. Alternatively, the oil and gas fields are tiny. A third aspect that is most likely neglected, is how much the tax revenue will be able to help people. By refusing to develop, basically we are saying that a model based guess is worth more than helping actual people. It is so sad to see western europe destroying itself on the altar of climate hysteria. =(

@carolen Don't worry, russia will never do anything. In fact, I think they have threatened to start WW3 if the west helped Ukraine about 6-7 times by now. It was money, it was weapons, it was tanks, it was planes, and some more stuff, and every single time, they just backed down.

They know that if the west joined the war, they would lose badly, so that is why they are trying to hard to scare the west from joining.

@heiseonlineenglish Knowing the global IT corporation, AI will most likely just lead to the same people doing more. Think of all the millions if not billions of lines of code that someone has to read or understand.

And in case that is not the strategy, think of all the million if not billions of software installations that need to be secured and audited!
