Modern spinning hard drives using modern file systems (ext4, XFS, NTFS, ZFS, etc.) do it automatically in the background for you. Meanwhile, solid state drives don't need it since there's no physical seek time that benefits from having data in contiguous physical locations.

the automated surveillance (flock cameras) are a threat. Also the EU is now pushing for the digital currency for 2029 launch to fulfill the agenda 2030. I'm sure EU tries to ban cash by then since Ursula Von Der Layen said that's the goal.

The goal is to ban the usage of cash and replace it with digital euro. The european union does not listen to the european people, instead Ursula Von Der Layen keeps the borders open and pushes for state controlled digital currencies and surveillance. EU is becoming more like a prison since there is not strong enough support for leaving the authoritarian union.

Every socialist paradise ships with the same fine print. Everything is free, until you realize you are the one paying. Equality, until everyone is equally broke. Happiness, until it becomes mandatory.

And when people try to leave? That is what the barbed wire is for.

Just ask East Berlin. Free countries build doors. Socialist ones build walls, guard towers, and shoot on sight orders. Any paradise that needs armed men to keep you inside was never a paradise at all.
