The wreck of the Iranian Moudge-class frigate IRIS Jamaran , sunk in the port of Konarak by US Air Force strikes at the beginning of the war. Its main 76 mm Fajr-27 naval gun can still be seen protruding above the water. In addition, the frigate carried eight C-802 / Noor anti-ship missiles , 40 mm and 20 mm anti-aircraft guns , as well as light torpedoes and the Sayyad-2 air-defence system . Iranian sources write that 53 of the 140 crew members were killed along with the ship.
