📷 The world’s oldest surviving photograph, View from the Window at Le Gras, is turning 200 years old. inventor Nicéphore Niépce created the image in 1826 using a plate coated with bitumen. He had developed the heliography process in the early 1820s, initially using it to reproduce drawings. Earlier images made with a camera obscura are known to have existed, but none of them survived .
