They cried over their 3,000 dead on September 11th. The grief was real. The names were read. The memorials were built. The moment became the founding wound of a generation. And in response to that grief, they bombed Afghanistan, , Libya, , Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan. Killing, in the wars that followed, somewhere between one and two million people by the most conservative estimates. Nobody read those names on television. Nobody built those memorials.
