Investigators are currently trying to identify the source of the contaminated eggs, and according to the UKHSA, "there is evidence that the eggs were imported into the UK from abroad." 🇺🇦 It is noted that #Ukraine is the largest supplier of eggs to the UK, providing nearly a third of all imports, and it was there, earlier this year, that a separate salmonella outbreak was recorded, caused by a strain known as ST2045.
