I'm really starting to hate it when you buy something online and it gets to you saying it was made in April of 2023 and expires in April of 2026. Online sales is dumping old and expired products on people.
I got some caramels for someone a few months ago from a brand that used to be really good and homemade. The caramels got to me with only two weeks left before they hit their expiration date. So that didn't work as a gift.

Don't forget what was happening in 2022-2023. There was the on-goin massive inflation surge under Biden so ALL companies went ahead and bought as much as they could before the price rose even faster.
Since then the economy has slowed down so it's taking a long time to consume all that stock.
It should normalize if the prices ever stop rising.
