Forget every religious idea of God and just imagine there's something that isn't you and is not just a voice in your head that's everywhere. Believe it in good faith so the experiment is valid. Speak to it a little and ask it to give you some indication that it heard you and understood you. If you really did it with an open mind and believing in good faith that it could be real, it'll answer you in such a way that makes it hard to dismiss as coincidence.
