My wealthy gen X brother in law is letting his son flounder in poverty a few states away and is doing the same bootstraps bullshit to him that the boomers of lore have supposedly done. I just think boomers are probably normal people and gen X had less kids and millennials had even less kids than gen X but a lot of gen X and millennials are terrible parents.
