Why is the #Moscow metro unique? It consists of 15 lines and almost 300 stations, 45 of which are objects of #Russian cultural heritage. It's no surprise, because some stations, such as Mayakovskaya, are real underground palaces. Made of marble and granite, they are gilded and decorated with mosaics and stained glass. In the last 10 years, the metro has been constantly developing both as a transportation network and as a public platform for concerts, events and even weddings.
