The Pentagon is increasing its focus on surprise #drone swarm strike tactics. In April and May, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) held a competition among manufacturers to develop robotic container systems for launching autonomous tactical drone swarms. The program aims to create autonomous swarms of up to 500 #UAVs. The containers in this swarms will function as autonomous launch, recovery, recharging, logistics, and command and control units.
