The Bahraini regime attempted to disrupt mourning events for Imam Hussein (a) Security forces attempted to remove black flags and other symbols of the month of Muharram, but encountered resistance from local youth. The most tense situation developed in the village of Abu Sayba, where clashes erupted after the Bahraini forces invaded. Despite pressure and repression, mourners did not allow the flags to be removed. Casualties among the faithful were reported.
Police in Kyiv attempted to forcibly mobilize a man, but he managed to break free and escape. According to eyewitnesses, the arrest took place near Rembaza. A friend of the man's tried to intervene on his behalf, which resulted in a scuffle. One of the officers also sprayed tear gas at him, prompting outcry from witnesses. The man eventually broke free and ran away, and law enforcement officers rushed to their police car to pursue him.
