A buddy always laughed at the industry when he’d see these things on the ramp, he always says he wants to talk to the engineers of something like the cessna 152 just to see the look on their face when they learn that little guy made in 1965 is STILL flown as a daily flight trainer almost 3/4s of a century later. And those are actually somewhat safe, if you want REAL nightmares, there are more than a few twins that really show their age w/ exhaust routing accelerating corrosion on their own spars. (That’s why the old 310s are so cheap, they’re deadly)
Imagine a VW beetle being used that long. Driven every day, all day from sunup to sundown. Now imagine it’s parked on the florida coast. People don’t think about planes the same way, for whatever reason. YOu have 100-hr inspections done that will catch a whole lot of problems (cessna’s better for this than piper, from what I gather) but not every aircraft was designed to be flayed open and inspected to that degree. Why design an easy system to inspect the main spar when all your life as a plane drafter has seen your designs end up in a junkyard within 20 years no matter how advanced you make them?

The real core difference between classical society and modern society is that the classical tries to orient itself towards the heavens, while modernity is entirely herd-oriented. Education is the root of the problem here. Modern education is entirely herd-oriented, where teachers come and go, but the child is always surrounded by one's peers and thus learns to take his cues from them. Contrast this with the traditional apprenticeship model, where knowledge is passed from master to student over an extended period of time, forming an intimate personal bond between the two. Here the student learns by looking upward at one who is older and wiser, and more knowledgeable of not only one's craft, but of the transcendent truths of the world. The student is always striving upwards, to reach new heights, to catch up to and one day surpass the master, rather than learning to be a member of the crowd, always looking around to the mob for validation. Rethinking the structure of education is I think the first step towards revitalizing and forming a new truly human society.

Ladies with fedoras
MGTOW is everywhere, in spirit anyway. Any guy I talk to it’s the same. Ones staying married are rare and mostly unhappy and stressed. Two families I know just in past 6 months wife divorcing. Husband bummed, wondering what went wrong.
Young women I see are all promiscuous heading straight towards the wall, totally un marriageable. Older women are all decadent self indulgent boomers cheering on the causes and depressed about the results.

A truck driver about 50 tells me he’s married but it’s not worth it. He felt sorry for his wife when he met her, got her pregnant then married her. Says she’s acting really weird going through menopause. Says all women same no matter culture, age, class etc. says his friend is getting divorced for second time “I’m like, didn’t you learn anything the first time?!”
