Terrorist Attack in the Saratov Region Today, an assassination attempt was made on an officer of the #Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) in Engels (the village of Probuzhdenie). An unknown assailant on a motorcycle, his face hidden by a helmet, approached a private home and opened fire. The officer was seriously injured (a bullet struck his torso and face). His driver was also wounded but was able to escape the line of fire, return, and call an ambulance.
