It’s very clear that for most people the vaccine is more likely to harm than to help
Assuming “people” means “adults in the united states”, I don’t believe that’s the case. Obesity and its associated health problems puts you at an elevated risk of bad COVID outcomes, and while I don’t know the numbers offhand, I suspect that even for the younger age categories the numbers indicate that the vaccinated obese people do better than the unvaccinated ones.
If we’re talking young and healthy, and we assume that there are no long-term effects associated with contracting COVID as an unvaccinated person, and we assume that the COVID vaccines have a serious adverse reaction rate of around, say, 1 in 3000, then you can make the case that those people shouldn’t get vaccinated.
But even then, it’s still just making the case, because despite what the COVID truthers that justify their opinions through screengrabs want to think, a vaccinated person is still less likely to get infected, will on average get over the infection faster, and is less likely to spread it to someone else because of these factors.
All of that is to say, that even if you establish that a healthy 25-year-old carries a small risk of having a serious adverse reaction to a vaccine that isn’t outweighed by his risk of negative COVID outcomes, you still need to consider the ramifications of when his COVID infection gets transmitted to his obese 52-year-old dad that he has a decent chance to be living with because of how many zoomers live with their parents.
