Watch a 10 second video and YT saves 35 MB of cookies. Wipe cookies and try to open the frontpage: 9 MB of cookies.
Tried Piped, but it saves 12 MB upon watching a video as well.
Invidious doesn't save cookies, but more often than not it only serves "medium" or 720p quality video, unlike Piped.
Why is everything so bloated and awful?

@wizardyuuka you can always set your browser to always delete cookies from specific websites like youtube or just use youtube with a private/anonimous tab

@37712 I was already wiping everything on browser closure for several years. YT tracking aside, it's an awful waste of bandwidth to have to download over 30 MB of garbage after closing a browser just to watch a video that's not even 1 MB large. Already got a page redirection userscript to Piped. The other option is mpv + yt-dlp or mps-yt, which can be pretty fast and cozy, but tends to break every so often.
