Finally got a modchip installed into my parallel ps1. Since one of the pads was lifted I had to do some extra work but it turned out beautiful in the end

@waff my original xbox dies and I am trying to fix it, no luck yet, so sad.

@waff not sure, it just won't turn on at all, so far I have tested the power supply circuit board but it's good. I think I might have a lead on some faulty capacitors but I won't know until I remove a couple and test them. The capacitors look perfectly good but they are legit 20 yrs old

@37712 Its likely the capacitor. If it is a 1.6 if you removed its clock cap it NEEDS to be replaced otherwise it will not boot at all.

@waff it's possible. All the caps on the board look perfectly good. And testing it on the board yields weird readings bc other components on the board interfere with the readings. SO I have to pretty much replace stuff blindly until it works.

@37712 yeah unless youre some sort of tech wizard like adrian black thats perhaps the only thing you really can do...
