my local Aldi doesn't even have a dedicated cashier on site most of the time. You gotta use self checkout and bag everything yourself. Of course the bags cost money too and tear apart like a motherfucker. Not to mention the bullshit where you need to carry a quarter on hand to take a cart from the front of the store.

@trogdor @Shadowman311 Being required to provide a quarter to unlock a shopping cart, which you get back afterward is an ingenious way to keep shopping carts near the store and not stolen. They even keep the cardboard around many products on the shelves so if you need to buy a flat of beans, you can just pick up the whole thing. If it's arm day, load up a cardboard box used for celery and don't pay for bags.
