A goal of mine in life is to one day have enough children to where using commercial air travel for anything other than a business trip is so prohibitively expensive and logistically infuriating that the thought doesn't even cross my mind
@Shadowman311 there's a family at our chuch that basically comes in a bus, 11 kids (and, judging by the way the mother was holding onto herself at church this morning, a 12th is in progress)
@grey My parents laughed when I said I wanted 10 kids, said I was brainwashed, said you can't afford that "no women would want that", I'll show them.

My family has had only one namesake per generation for 2 generations, I'm turning this little twig of a family tree into a redwood singlehandedly.
@Shadowman311 @grey how do you find a woman that wants those 1) have that many kids and 2)someone you're compatible with? I never found those traits in one woman in my life.
@CN32 @grey I'm a Catholic it's easier for me, though I admit I haven't found her yet. I'm also not entirely sold on "10" or any particular number, I just want a lot and most Catholic women want that as well, though numbers vary
@Shadowman311 @grey I'm too old now (I'm middle aged) as the women I wasted time with as a young man just wanted to mess around and/or weren't sure what they wanted and/or wanted jerks/wild guys over a stable man (like me).
@Shadowman311 @grey I guess it is what it is. After a certain age, if you haven't found 'the one', then it probably isn't going to happen.
@Momther @Shadowman311 @grey One of my friends told me years ago "People date for the wrong reasons." I didn't understand what he meant at the time, but now I do.
@CN32 @Momther @grey If you aren't dating explicitly to marry and reproduce, you shouldn't be dating
@Shadowman311 @Momther @grey I was dating as a young man with the intention this woman could be a wife and mother to me kids. Never worked out. So people tell me now "You need a wife" I go "Why? I'm too old to have kids now." They'll say something like "Companionship" or "Someone to do things with" and I will say, "Pretty much everything I've achieved in my life didn't require a woman or a relationship (college, investing money, careers, getting fit, etc). I can motivate myself."
@Frondeur @CN32 @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey yes however sometimes your kid works at a bar and has a big titty friend that comes to your house and makes you feel uncomfortable
@WeissenSocken88 @CN32 @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey make your move before she's gone forever!!!...or...give me her number...
@Frondeur @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey The women at my age have baggage I don't want to deal with. Maybe it comes with getting older, but I'm stuck in my ways now, have my own routine and really don't feel like bringing someone into my routines and/or feel the need to change my life/routines to fit theirs.
@Frondeur @CN32 @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey I have to break it to you guys, these days women already have baggage at 16 y.o.
@white_male @CN32 @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey nice try...you're not tricking me into dating below the legal age of consent in my jurisdiction...
@Frondeur @WeissenSocken88 @white_male @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey One example of a girl that was decent looking but skanky was my first job. We were both 16, but went to different high schools. On my FIRST night working at my job, I'm sitting in the break area and she comes in and sits on my lap. I thought "Ummm...that's weird." She was also dating a guy (allegedly) that was out of high school (not sure if that was legal?) and she was jealous of me that I had a nicer car than her and she was always giving me shit. Maybe that was her way of saying she liked me and/or was pissed I didn't simp for her.
@CN32 @Frondeur @WeissenSocken88 @white_male @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey When I was in high school, I was surrounded by a lot of women who were sluts. I'm amazed how I made it through with no trouble.
@Bunsen @Frondeur @WeissenSocken88 @white_male @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey My thinking when I was young was I have no interest to be a dad yet, so let me focus on school and getting my career off the ground AND THEN I'll considering relationships and all that. I also never understood how we brag to others about "I get laid more than you!" like it's a conquest or something. I'm like "So you spend all your time and money and energy convincing someone (you don't even know) to them to give them a quick five minute pleasure? That's worth the risk of STDs or false rape accusations or drama that comes with that?"
@CN32 @Frondeur @WeissenSocken88 @white_male @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey Good discipline.

I even had a beautiful, long-haired blonde rub against me in a class one time. "I want you to be mine." I got hard beneath the desk. My instincts immediately told me she was a slut. God told me, "Stay away from her."

Sure enough. The next day, she was hanging out with two other dudes. Practically hugging both of them as they walked.

Bullet dodged. It was a shame, though. She was pretty hot.
@Bunsen @Frondeur @WeissenSocken88 @white_male @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey Your instincts are usually correct. If someone or something does not feel right, that's a sign to get away. I went on a match dot com date years ago with an attractive blonde. All throughout the date she had an ex calling nonstop, told me she did drugs, and that she rented a room in her house to her ex's friend and she kept asking me "Can we go back to your place?" First, I'm not comfortable getting 'down and dirty' with someone I don't know too well. Second, I got the feeling she was using me to make an ex jealous. Third, for all I know it was a setup for her and her ex to know where I lived (If I was stupid enough to take her home) and deal with them trying to rob me or get me into a fight/altercation with her 'ex.'
@white_male @Bunsen @Frondeur @WeissenSocken88 @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey Call it a curse or a blessing, but I overthink things and see the (possible) long-term consequences of any actions I make. My father is NOT a reactive man, he's responsible, work hard, follow the rules, and always taught us to plan ahead for the future. I think that's why I saved myself a lot of grief and drama throughout my life.
in HS?
was my cup of tea for sure :p
not so much now
@white_male @Frondeur @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey When I was a teenager, the ONLY girls that expressed interest in me were ones I was NOT physically attracted to OR (if they were decent looking) they were just skanky slutty trashy girls wanting me to knock them up so they could get a baby and go on assistance. Some of them are STILL stalking me years later, thinking I will want them now.
@Frondeur @Shadowman311 @Momther @grey There's a woman at my job (attractive looking, but divorced and with kids but they are grown and out of house) and she recently said to me "I wake up in the middle of the night crying because I don't have a man." She finds a man, wants to do everything for him, he's divorced with kids and they tell her "You're not my mother." I won't deal with that. I don't want to be anyone's dad and hear "you're not my father!" especially if I'm expected to support them and be responsible for them.
