They cannot change. They caused the problem, and they (both sides) think that they are 1) incredibly intelligent and 2) morally correct. They're ALWAYS 10 years too late, but they'll argue with you for 9 years 364 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds that you're wrong.

They won't leave the Republican party in large enough numbers.
