It's fantastically encouraging to see so many Christians waking up to the dispensationalist BS. (These are the "death cult" Christian Zionists.)

The fact that popular commentators from "both" political parties and just random YouTubers are also calling this out and simultaneously becoming JQ-pilled is really something.
I'm also ahead of the curve on the idea that you can't try to run a republic like a theocracy, so maybe they'll catch up in my lifetime on this as well.
@RoninGrey One of the things that isn’t necessarily and immediately obvious, is the basic structural/procedure reality that Monarchy is better suited to handling political sorts of issues, while Collegialism is better equipped to preserve religious Traditions. Thus, the American political system of “checks and balances” is being misapplied, imo.
@KingOfWhiteAmerica That is to say, we need more practical life discussions. How far should we obey government if it threatens the poor and weak? In a republic, how far should we take the responsibility to care for others? SHOULD we be voting?
Again, a wise man can answer these through wisdom, and another, just as wise, can answer through his wisdom, and a third may use a different logic. But it needs to be discussed more seriously.
@RoninGrey This is a rather big topic, and I find myself trying to draw parallels between Christians in America, and Biblical Israel in the Old Testament. In some ways, it’s quite a lot like the 400 years in Egypt. In other ways, the Book of Judges seems more appropriate. And in yet other ways, the Babylonian Captivity seems most relevant. And indeed, they’re probably all symbolically applicable; so you’ve done gone and prompted me to spend some time on a Scriptural survey 😁
