Guys, I would like your advice on something pretty insteresting.
My brother wants to change to a new profession. He's been a system analyst for 15 years but he forecasts (and me too, tbh) that this area will change and be reasonable reduced in the next 5-10 years.
He wants to go back to college and do medicine to become a doctor in 6 years. There's a good advantage because, since he will be a middle-aged white doctor, he will be trusted and sought by everyone (no DEI).
Is it a good idea?
@Zeb If he is careful enough to be able to not get brainwashed or pressured into doing immoral things for money, I say go for it. It takes a different kind of strength of character these days.
But is he going to go into serious debt? I'm sure he considers these things. Let's be honest, though -- most people do what they want anyway, even if they know the odds are bad or if their data is incomplete.

No I suppose, the plan is to really become a doctor, open up a practice and have a relaxed work life balance. The plan is just to practice medicine on his own time, get good money and enjoy the profession.
No, no debt. He's in Italy and he still works and has reserves, it's pretty cheap - as long as you get accepted in.
He doesn't know the specialization yet, but something like orthopedics, cardiologist and forensic pathologist would be his prefered ones.
