On worker policing. It's an observed behaviour in many colony building species as the Wiki explains and it's a mechanism to keep out intruders. (different = enemy)
But what you probably looking for is Naked Mole-rats. They do the same as mammals. Only the queen and her male harem breed. The rest are workers.

Insects don't have the mental capacity to comprehend these ideas. As the wiki explained, they just destroy these eggs and layers as intruders. It's no different for them, then dealing with a rouge queen, that trying to kill their queen and take her place. It's a thing.
Abortion is a human invention. Practiced since ancient times. Although it usually resulted in the death of the mother, because of infection.
