Just imagine what the government will be able to do once full autopilot is implemented. Manual diesel all the way.
@mrhorsetwat Can be easily solved by kill swith between engine and battery for emergency stop.
Government would use it on people that criticize government. They would have electric car "malfunction" too often.
@Stahesh The people that would install the kill switch are the people who wouldn't go electric in the first place. Why complicate it with switches instead of downshifting a manual?

But I personally would like to have electric car but only want engine, battery, air conditioning, heated seats and speakers with 3.5mm for phone and maybe tablet size screen for phone.
I have no need for stupid sensors or AI. I want to drive by myself.
Sadly now electric are only usefull in cities and build for stupid people that do not want to drive.
