I know everyone is incel’d out, but this thread is interesting because it’s something I’ve seen bearing out across the country. I get the impression that the collective female dating market has gotten so high on the hog that the meaty part of the bell curve has just kinda given up on pursuing them without pausing and realizing it. They just realize “woah, I can’t even REMEMBER the last time I had a crush on someone. Weird……” and keep going in life.
I a way it’s like the dude version of career women imagining that “I’ll settle down when I finish school. Er…my master’s. Okay I’ll settle down when I’m thirty. Or….when I get a new place. This one’s too small for a family! Okay, I’ll settle down when I get a promotion and some free time. For real, I’ll settle down as soon as I meet the right guy, it shouldn’t be hard to find a guy my age that’s attractive enough, has the right qualifications, income, ambition to be a suitable husband for me…….“
@WashedOutGundamPilot I can save you some years and solve this puzzle for you easily.
It ultimately comes down to responsibility and authority. Under patriarchy men were responsible for their families but they also had authority over their families.
Feminism came along and took men's authority away in the name of equality, but demands that men continue to assume all responsibility.
Men know that's a bullshit deal, and so the only motivator left is sex, which is easy enough to acquire itself.
