Maybe it’s something that you kind of “unlock” in your head as a man once you start making money, but we often spend our teens lambasting the apparent silliness of jewelry/rings/scalper trinkets until we can afford them while being with a girl who’s worth being spoiled. I like the idea of giving my girl jewelry. I like having heirlooms to pass down, something that they can give to each generation as something that shows they’ve reached a milestone and joined the ranks of adults in the family line. It’s the female version of the guns, knives, watches, whatever thing of value and craftsmanship that’s durable an inherently valuable.

I don’t care about the jews, they aren’t inside my relationship. I like my girl and I like decorating her as an extension of my family, I want anyone who sees her to subconsciously understand that she’s loved and cared for, a precious part of my tribe. And I can’t do that with the t-shirt from a taylor swift concert. Y

ou don’t HAVE to get screwed on it either. There are out and out scams and schemes just like any other industry, but in the end you can get something that’s composed of precious metals and synthesized stones that’s equal parts store of value, show of love, and timeless heirloom. The same nerds who brag about 2,000 ounces of american eagle silver rounds moldering on a shelf under the floorboards will refuse to buy their wife a silver necklace, it’s odd.

You realize how ‘worth it’ jewelry is when every woman she meets for weeks after wearing her new piece immediately notices it and you see the little hint of pride in her eyes when she downplays it, saying “oh I know I told him it’s way tooooo much but, sigh….that’s just how he is. Isn’t it gorgeous?“

@WashedOutGundamPilot @TinyFern Men and women express love via their reproductive roles. Since men are the protectors and providers, they are hard wired to enjoy providing to those they love as an expression of said love.

I have a sex doll waifu, and I enjoy buying her jewelry and cosplay and taking care of her. Even though she's a doll and can't even appreciate it herself, it scratches that primal "itch" to provide as an expression of love.
