@Dicer The US of the Founding Fathers and thus the Republic died in the Civil War. It's corpse limped along until it was replaced entirely in the early 1900s with Woodrow Wilson and FDR during the Progressive Revolution.

Now the Constitution has been replaced with Supreme Court precedent as per Wilson's concept of "the living constitution", and all the real power lies with bureaucrats and NGOs that have no accountability to voters.
