I bought some Omega-3 fish oil capsules from Sam's Club and on the bottle it said it contained mint oil, and wasn't sure why. I thought maybe the mint oil added more nutrients or something. However, when I burped, it tasted like mint instead of fish, and I had an "Aha" moment.

This pilot study from 2019 suggests that consuming omega-3 fish oil supplements is a bad idea. They found that
33% of the fish oil products contained significant levels of aldehydes which are a potential oxidation product of omega-3 fish oils (basically the fish oils are rancid).
