It's easy for us to judge, but China:
1. is the 1st country to have almost full-spectrum surveillance dominance over their citizens. They don't know shit what's going on outside of their bubble.
2. has never had a culture of individualism
3. has a current generation that has only survived because of extreme compliance under threat of disappearance & death.

They live in a Truman Show but with jackboots. Fuckers don't stand a chance.
