There are very few phones I've come across that you can't replace the battery yourself. Fuck the warranty. If it's a case of getting a new battery or buying a new phone there's nothing to lose.

There are great guides out there for practically every phone there is. And if you're adventurous enough, you can even do neat things like de-solder the mic.
