I'd like to share a little bit of personal achievement with my Linux setup on my main computer:

I initially build an Artix system with seperate encrypted /home partition. It was fun fucking around with my own customized system but it was barebones and didn't feel like customizing it myself.

I settled for Mabox Linux but struggled using my home partition. It turns out I needed to create a /etc/cryptstab file. After the right bootloader config and mkinit, my home partition is there to decrypt.

Just so I understand correctly, I'm assuming your system already uses LUKS full disk encryption, and then when you've logged into the desktop environment, you perform an additional decryption on your /home partition?

Also, what's the thinking behind Artix/Mabox? Are you using a Pentium CPU or something?

Edit: I'm thinking now it's because of NVIDIA compatibility if I had to guess.
