@Tfmonkey I had a Terabyte HDD I accidentally formatted 2 years ago.

Despite common belief, as long as you formatted the thing ONCE, you can still recover file states. It is messy however: Recovering softwares perfectly managed to recover my files back (and can be opened) but you will lose the file name and its path (the address and repository it was in).

On Windows, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Technician is my goto software for file recovering. You have to pay for it but 1337x is my friend.
