In my experience with offenders, I have found them to be otherwise ordinary men, who are extraordinarily selfish and manipulative (they remind me of PUAs). Naturally, this thought makes ordinary men quite uncomfortable. Most men would rather think of child molesters as a different species. Ordinary men don't want to have anything in common with them - which is understandable, but sadly untrue.
@Indignation - My mom once asked me "why do you think someone would do such a thing?"
And after some thought, the best answer I could come up with was: it's a desire to be first. That's a natural desire, and can lead to greatness. It's why men climb mountains. It's why grown men get paid millions to chase a ball.
And for offenders, it's why they would ruin a girl, just to be first - to be someone that they will never forget. And it's incredibly selfish. It's a decision, and deserves death.
@Indignation - Possibly, there's more than one type... perhaps some do have a chemical imbalance or something. 🤔 But that's the best explanation I have found from my personal dealings. In those cases, it was a conscious decision.
One is dead (drank himself to death). The other is wasting away in exile (currently intoxicating himself to death)
