@Stahesh I don't know. I might be an ultra misogynist but I only look at my cell phone or doze off at the table when there are women present. If it's only friends, my father or my brothers, we chat and laugh the entire time.
@Zeb I am most of the time on my cell phone when it is family gathering.
I have almost no interest to talk to them. Because we do not have common interest except the food and family bond.
Often they talk about BS and random stuff.
@Stahesh Family gatherings can be fun as long as they do not overextend for days.
I like talking to all family members and I direct the conversation so they only talk about themselves and their life, there is always something interesting to learn when you listen and figure out how this person goes through life.
On a funny note, they rarely ask me about anything and all "political" topics are easily avoidable. Normies are not curious at all.

For me it is so much mentally draining to listen to them.
Political topics I ignore everywhere except internet and friends.
