I am very annoyed by this, BUT it might make EV pricing less terrible. That's still a ton more car for your money than you'd get in America, assuming they aren't complete garbage.

@Zeb That price difference though... It might be worth "renting" the battery and earning interest on the money you would pay for the difference assuming it gets you a new battery every X years or whatever. Basically would need to see the battery replacement cost.

The issue is with the battery rental, the owner or government can turn your car off anytime for any or no reason.
Although they can do that with the full car, so you never know. I personally dislike EV cars.
