Why don't people understand you can have a fucked up sense of humor and still be a normal person?

@basedbagel - Willful stupidity. Taking jokes literally is childish beyond measure. And yet, so many do.
My guess is it's become fashionable in this infantile zeitgeist, and NPCs don't question the zeitgeist (at all).
It's all very sad. But don't worry. At least *we* know you're normal(ish). 😋🍻
