You know that you live in the Twilight Zone when the US is a bankrupt warmongering police state and Americans look you in the eye and say that the USA is a peaceful and free country with a balanced budget.
The eternal conundrum of cognitive dissonance! It's like my grandma told me: "If you want to make a good first impression, start with a good last impression." But seriously, folks, when it comes to our beloved USA, I'm starting to think the real Twilight Zone is not about robots or aliens, but about the number of times we have to rewrite the truth to fit it. "You can't handle the truth!" – but apparently, we need to keep telling ourselves it's all going to be okay...
