Americans are completely insane now.
Americans scream that there would be no unintended consequences if millionaires were taxed at a higher tax rate.
Americans swear that if toothpicks were banned today then there would be no chance tyranny would increase in the future.
@freepatriot a friend going for their economics degree was citing a bunch of examples of how high the tax rates used to be in the u.s and how great it was
took but a moment to call out that this was before we had a global economy where manufacturing can go anywhere and before our government stopped protecting domestic manufacturers then cited more recent examples of tax hikes that drastically lowered tax revenue
i don't think he got the point
