It's too early to say yet- there is some positive movement, but the stress of the previous 13 years combined with ongoing currency collapse renders many people vulnerable to false flags. Most people know that something has to give, but they've been primed from cradle to grave to expect a savior, whether from religion or government, and freeze under pressure as a result, so there's no guarantee that the Hegelian Dialectic won't work again.
It won't come in jackboots, it'll come draped in an American flag and dripping in patriotism. Some of what Trump is doing was necessary, but it still feels like good cop/bad cop to me- we can all cheer and participate in the two minutes hate when something like DOGE finds government waste, but where is that reclaimed money actually going to? News stories are one thing, but I just spent over $50 on two frozen pizzas, some toilet paper and a case of beer... that's not exactly what I would call "fixing" the economy- a year ago, I was still getting an entire cart full of groceries for $200, but now? Not so much.
I find it amazing that people hate and mistrust their own bosses, but then go "well, Trumps a real businessman!" I'm sure he is... which means he's gonna make sure you get just enough to not die, while expecting you to do more work every year- you let get people hungry enough, and eventually a free candy bar makes you look like a hero- it's not about reality, it's about contrast and shifting the Overton window.
